Little Pink Booties

The little pink booties fit Margaret. She had them on several weeks ago but they were still a little big. Today they fit.

These sweet booties hold a lot of meaning for me. I bought them many years ago while looking for a baby boy gift for a friend. I couldn't resist them as I always dreamed of having a little girl.

Then came the five years of infertility...But I dug them out just before our IVF procedures, of which it just so happens to be the one year anniversary this week.

To keep my heart full of hope and faith, I set the booties on my bedside table. Every night I looked at them while Mike gave me my shots. When we learned we were pregnant, they stayed there as a sort of promise for the rest of my pregnancy.

Today I put them on my daughter Margaret and I felt very blessed.

Little pink booties....

Link Love No.47!

I was supposed to post this yesterday, but from all the doctoring and chaos, I didn't have the energy to do so. Over the weekend I also worked on things like clearing up my sewing area some more, and mending the kids’ clothes. It feels good to making progress on something. :)

Ok, here are the link loves for the last party, which ones were your favorites?

Check this cute crochet earrings by Mandipity. I love the simplicity of the earrings; so cute!

Shabby Soul made this adorable Bird Nest Bobby Pin. I love her color choice on this project. If I walked in to Anthropology and saw this bobby pin, I would definitely buy it. Great job!

This Paper Doll Decor created by Ms. Smarty Pants is so stylish and fun. I would love the have something like this in my little girl’s room. Looking at her project made me wanna try my hands at a paper doll project. I bet it would be super fun!

Holy cow, when I saw this little man wearing such a stylish jacket I let out an "Ohhh so Cuuute!!". Craft Buds did such an amazing job up cycling a plain hoodie to J-crew-ish jacket! What a talented women. :)

The last project are these beautiful push pins by Delight. I have been wanting to make a cork board on my wall (I already have a very nice frame I found at a thrift store :) ), I thought those push pins would be great additions.
Simple projects like this really showcase the sense of style of the maker, fantastic job!

Thank you all for linking up to make this link party fun and exciting!

By the way, my friend told me that the fund raising yard sale for Japan will be held at Orem High from 8 am to 1 pm this Saturday. If you live in the area, please come and check it out. I have other places I need to be at, but I will try my best to be there if not the whole time, at least partially.

Ok everyone, have a great start to your week!

Hop Hop Bunny ~Super Easy Easter Decoration~

I am a girl with many faces. Mom, wife, friend, cook, seamstress, chauffeur, teacher, clown, and so on...since last night, I have been a nurse.

My husband and Michael got sick. Michael got hit especially HARD (I will not go into details, but just imagine pretty much all the flu symptoms times 10). I slept a little, and had to take the kids to school in the morning, I bet I looked like a used rug.

Several hours earlier, I had no idea what was coming my way. I was happily making this, and it only took me 5 minutes... do you wanna know how I did it? :) (this is not smile, it is a grin)

I found this at the dollar section at Target.

I just simply peel them away, threaded them and I had a pretty Easter banner.

I am thinking that maybe I could make a poster...

Or make simple cards to accompany Easter treats to give away.

80 notes in each pad, there are a whole lot of possibilities for a dollar, don't you think?
